We are the makers of DefendSanta.com, a site dedicated to restoring honor, dignity and respect to the man of faith we call Santa Claus.
On this site we review Santa Claus resources of all types: websites made for kids, general Christmas websites, websites representing Santa Claus, vendors selling Santa related items, and professional portrayers of Santa Claus online. We also review music, movies, printed stories, novels, and other artistic intrepretations of Santa Claus.
We share with you in plain terms those resources that are safe to visit, review or buy. And we candidly tell you which ones to avoid and why. A site we approve of will bear this logo:
As a certified Santa site the venue must contain or link to historically accurate Santa content, they must comply with specific standards for contact and interaction with children online; and they must comply with standards of linking or associating with elements compatible with the classic, historical image of Santa Claus.
We believe strongly in creative aspects of Santa Claus and the wonder of imagination in adding to the magic of Christmas. But we believe liberties taken with Santa’s image do not need to convey a false representation of his true character. Where we find such resources, we will provide a warning voice.
